IBADAN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nollywood actress, Uche Ogbodo has slammed netizens attacking her for not picking a side in Yul Edochie’s marital saga.

The actress received severe backlash on Saturday, 24 September, for always dropping comments on the pages of first wife, May Edochie and Judy Moghalu, the second wife of the actor.

Many felt she should pick a side and stop showing love to both women.

They attacked her for showing love and support to Judy who they tagged ‘home breaker.’

Recall that in April this year, Yul announced he has picked actress Judy Moghalu as his second wife and that they already have a son together.

Following his secret marriage, his relationship with his first wife became strained as she stated several times that she wasn’t a party to being in a polygamous marriage especially with her religion.

However, the Nollywood actor surprised many Nigerians when he showed up to his first wife’s birthday party, giving some fans hope that they have reconciled.

A blogger, Linda Ikeji, had published Judy Austin’s birthday message to her senior wife, May.

The blogger had referred to May as an estranged wife which didn’t sit well with the actor.

Correcting her, Yul Edochie stated that though he had lots of respect for the blogger, she should have verified the information before publishing.

Schooling her on what estranged means, Yul added that he and his wife are both living in the same house in their mansion in Ajah.

Reacting to the actor’s statement, May on Saturday, said she had a stable and loving home prior to the unprecedented events regarding her marriage.

She stated that polygamy is a life choice and that no one should be compelled to accept it.

The mum of four stressed that some religions and traditions allow polygamy and that she has nothing against it but that as a person she will not be numbered or cajoled to accept a practice that does not align with her faith and family values.

Meanwhile Uche Ogbodo who has been commenting on her May and Judy’s pages was dragged by netizens after commenting on May’s page.

In a video she made last night in reaction to the backlash received, the mother-of-two said she prefers to be neutral as she cannot be fighting with people who have no problems with her.

She said she cannot also condemn Yul who is a grown man because he made a mistake and has taken his decision.

She pointed that she has also made mistakes in life and Yul didn’t come out to condemn her.

She then reiterated that the affair between the actor and his second wife started six years ago and that people who are close to May knew about it but did not tell her.

She asked everyone to please leave her alone as the matter doesn’t concern her.
