LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Fashion is no doubt evolving. Besides, these days, everyone is trying out something new. Probably like a ‘break a little rule’ niche.
Regardless of the whole shift, there are still certain rules that you mustn’t break when it comes to fashion. These rules are more like instructions the doctor gives you to prevent you from falling sick over and over again. To avoid certain fashion faux pas, these rules must be extremely followed. Some of the following tips might be helpful.
DOs:
1) Go gentle with Layering: a lot of people break this rule and end up looking like an artist stuck up in a studio with a painter’s block.
2) Have the necessities: This simple emphasis is for men (maybe some women) are included. There clothes every one should have in their wardrobe. Clothes like Denim, Boots,Flats and Loafers. This clothes are like life savers sometimes.
3) Groom well: I typically hate it when I am stuck up in traffic and the person sitting close to me is dressed all well but refuses to smell in my definition of nice. Both male and female should always try to use deodorants. Ladies should try to add a little make up. A simple powder goes a long way. The whole essence is Look nice!
4) Balance the whole fashion theory well: I love accessories, make up, loud colour combinations and any thing weird about Fashion. At the same time I would not loose guard of the whole Fashion theory and forget to add balance to everything which includes my clothes, accessories and make up.
DON’Ts:
1) Over combine colours: You don’t want to look too flashy or too Loud probably like somebody unsure. Like stuck up for that Art event that you have all because of too much colours.
2) Wear clothes that will show your underwears: I often see ladies make this mistakes which makes me scream in my head.
3) Wear heels that are to high: Yeah, you want to look lady like besides you walking imaginary on a runway but don’t wear heels that will make you look cringy.
4) Lose yourself in breaking rules and end up comiting fashion faux pas: It’s good to break rules at the same time it is good to know how to break rules.
In conclusion, Fashion is one of the basis of life and it really defines who you say you are. In one of my Favourite celebrity voice I quote Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak. In simpler terms, your style is your Fashion!
