ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Three persons have been killed in their homes at Tse Numgbera in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State, during an attack.
It was gathered that the incident which happened at the weekend has thrown the affected rural community, near Yelewata, in Guma into mourning.
Waku Christopher, a Security Secretary of Guma LGA, told Daily Trust via the telephone that the three people were killed by suspected armed herders at their homes in Tse Numgbera at 4:20 pm.
He disclosed the attackers invaded the village suddenly and started unleashing mayhem on the inhabitants during which three people were killed.
Chairman of Guma LGA, Mike Ubah, also confirmed the incident, noting that it was true that the area was attacked and three people were killed.
However, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), of the state, SP. Catherine Anene, did not respond to calls or the message sent to her telephone over the incident.
