ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike on Tuesday commissioned the newly constructed VIP lounge at the Port Harcourt International Airport.
This is against his usual tradition of inviting special guests to commission his projects in the state, despite having Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State present during the commissioning ceremony.
At the end of his speech, Wike who would usually invite the special guest of honor to speak to the people and commission the project just told the Bauchi Governor to accompany him cut the ribbon.
Speaking earlier, Governor Wike, expressed fears that the Federal Airport Authority may not be able to maintain the facility.
He therefore called on the contractor of the project to forward to him the “cost of maintaining the project”.
