ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Most Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma, the Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province, (Anglican Communion), has dismissed claims that he is against Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate.
Rev Chukwuma said that those who tried to use his name to de-market the candidate have failed.
Speaking yesterday in Enugu, Chukwuma stated that he has been supporting and promoting the Obi-dient movement and even had it written down in his 2022 Synod address a month ago.
He restated his call for a new Nigeria, saying that the country could not afford to witness another set of bad leaders in 2023.
He said that Mr. Obi in whom the slogan, Obi-dient, is personified, has shown integrity, capability and honest concerns for Nigerians.
He added that Obi has shown the desire to take the country out of its present woes.
