LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Grammy award-winning singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun also known as Wizkid, is mourning the loss of a close associate and guitarist, Joey Bass.
The music star in a post shared on his Instagram story, on Tuesday, 9 August, 2022, shared the heartbreaking news with his fans.
Wizkid in a short text mourned the loss of a man he described as someone who had shared his light with him.
He wrote: “RIP Joey ❤️ thank you for sharing your light with me 💔💔💔💔💔”
Joey Bass had taken center stage with Wizkid during his performance and concert at the 02 Arena as a guitarist.
Speaking about his performance at O2 Arena on his Instagram page, Joey said, “I still can’t get over the fact that I got to play upfront on stage with Wizkid. I was feeling really blessed!!! 20,000 people at the O2 London, definitely a highlight in my career.“
